Welcome to our 8th annual festival - each year just keeps getting bigger! The hired band lineup is now full - thanks to the DOZENS of bands who applied from across the country! The festival features shows in a great performing arts center, camping on site, a band contest, band scramble, banjo contest, mandolin tasting, youth program, vendors and much more. Jamming space is available indoors, in the camping areas and throughout the school campus grounds in addition to several special events listed on the Lineup page. The Kristmas Town Kiwanis produce this festival and with the revenue created many community projects are accomplished. Runaway Train band members help out in various aspects of the event, including the band and banjo contests, mandolin tasting, youth program and overall festival scheduling and entertainment lineup. We hope you will spread the word and help us make this festival the best it can be!

The 7th annual Bluegrass From the Forest was a big success and we sure appreciated the great performances by The Boxcars, Bluestone County, Northern Departure, The Blackberry Bushes, Sugar Pine and host band Runaway Train. The lineup for 2012 is set - check the lineup page.
Again it was the best in bluegrass music in a great indoor theater atmosphere.
